Fabulous Fourth

We have a great view of fireworks from the school parking lot across from our house. This year we were joined by our friends the Jeffery's and some of their family and friends.  The weather was unbelievably beautiful - clear skies and low 70's during the day. By fireworks time we had some chilly kiddos, and had to pull out some sweatshirts.

Grandma and Grandpa came for their regular Saturday morning stop and we played outside with them.

Bubbles...

ball bats...

Driving to the "rocery store"...

water fun...

and just rolling around in the dirt...

Speaking of dirt, those 60 bags of soil are growing some giant plants.
We are just now starting to get some tomatoes ripening.

In the afternoon we went to the Jeffery's to celebrate Brian's birthday.
Tommy, Ellie and Anna spent about three hours bouncing on the trampoline.
Falling down was their favorite part.
but they always popped right back up.

Juice break

Done for the day.

  2. You do have a great view! I remember going to your house for the 4th about 10 or so years ago. Good times! I love that Tom's parents come every Saturday. They are surely building lasting memories. Your plants look awesome! I wish mine did! By the way, I love that picture of Ellie mid-air jumping on the trampoline! So fun!
